If you know anything about the Lord you know that nothing is
impossible for Him and that He does all things well. Whatever you give to Him, He can take it and
multiply it many times over.
It says in Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived, God is not
mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” If you plant tomatoes you will not get corn, you
will get tomatoes. The sowing and
reaping seems to be universal and takes place in every facet of our lives. Every day we get up and make all kinds of
decisions, some are good and some are not, but whatever our decision is we reap
the consequence whether good or bad. If
we are believers and allow our flesh to entice us to make wrong choices we will
reap corruption, but if we sow to the Spirit, we will, from the Spirit, receive
eternal life.
Think of this, some people that claim to be believers don’t
like the Jews and they say horrible things about them, and non-believers do the
same thing, many are involved in trying to destroy the Jewish nation. Maybe you don’t know this and you do it out of
ignorance, but I want to make this very clear, if you continue in this behavior
you will be cursed, but if you bless the Jews and their nation you will be
blessed, for it says this in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and
I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall
be blessed.” This is part of what we sow
we will reap.
Some think that God’s judgment has already begun because some
of our government officials are trying to take some of Israel’s land to give to
the Palestinians, using this and other means trying to make a peace treaty with
them. If our nation stands against Israel,
trying to take and divide their land, it will be cursed, reaping what it sowed.
There are many ways we reap what we sow and another one is
in our finances. In the book of Malachi it
talks about tithes and offerings; in this situation God’s people were holding
back their tithes and offerings so God said in Malachi 3:8-9, “Will a man rob
God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed
You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have
robbed Me, even this whole nation.” This
is another example of reaping and sowing, if they would have paid their tithes
and offerings they would have reaped as it says in verse 10, God speaking, “‘Bring
all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try
Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows
of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough
to receive it.’” Like I said what you
choose to do will determine what you reap, the Lord is the multiplier, all we
have to do is make the right choice.
I want to give you one more example; it is in John chapter 6
when Jesus was going to feed the five thousand men, Jesus said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?”
In verse 7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is
not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” Then in verse 9 Andrew said this, “There is a
lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among
so many?”
Andrew must have forgotten that he was talking to the multiplier.
Little is much in the hands of Jesus. Because this lad was willing to share the little
he had, Jesus not only blessed him but he blessed all that were there with him,
feeding around five thousand people with the food the lad was willing to give
Him. The lad chose to do the right thing
and he was blessed because of it. He sowed
a blessing and he reaped a blessing and so will you.
So don’t forget that this applies to everything, so if you
are struggling in some areas of your life this may be the cause, if so, repent
and make a choice to make the right decisions, the ones that will bring a
blessing and not a curse. Have a great
day and may God bless you.
