Set Free Praise The Lord

I am sure that there are many that would love to be set free, either from an illness or from a hurried decision that they had made and were sorry for, or just out and out sin that they are guilty of, or many other things that could be mentioned.  I have good news, there is hope and an answer to your dilemma, in a name, it is Jesus Christ the Lord.  He came to give us life and to give it more abundantly, praise His name.  He came to set the captive free, to open the eyes of the blind, to heal the sick and to cast out demons and to proclaim the good news.  He also fed the poor and He also gave justice to the widow and orphan and beyond that He even raised the dead plus so much more.

Today I want to talk about a miracle in the form of a healing and deliverance which He has performed multitudes of times.  Possibly you need a healing and a deliverance in your body today and you have been praying for it for many years.  Maybe you are on the verge of giving up because you think it will never happen and your faith seems to be dwindling.  I want to encourage you to not give up.

I had severe asthma for close to 60 years and I don’t know how many times I prayed to be healed, and then one day I was praying in the morning and praise the Lord I was healed following that prayer.  At times people give up, possibly just before the breakthrough.  Think of this, what if I gave up the day before my healing or what you might call my breakthrough or deliverance, I may have never experienced the healing I so desperately wanted and needed, but praise be to the Lord I didn’t.  All the glory and all the praise go to the Lord!!  Sometimes we miss the Lord’s timing and we think because we don’t get healed that the Lord is saying no permanently and all it is, is that the time isn’t right yet, and His answer is wait. The day I prayed for the healing and ended up being healed and delivered, that morning I was reading about the lady that was set free after being bent over for eighteen years.  This lady was bound for eighteen years and at the time she wasn’t even praying, as far as I know, but I am sure she must have prayed for her condition maybe several times without being healed and delivered  then Jesus comes on the scene and sets her free, praise the Lord, when she least expected it; then she stood up and started praising the Lord.  Can you imagine the excitement she felt after not being able to straighten up for so many years?  This was amazing!

Please read this account in Luke 13:10-17, “And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.”

This lady may have thought she would never be healed and set free from her infirmity, but she was.  The moral of the story is that we should never give up until the answer comes.

Let me give you another example of this in Luke 18:1-8, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

The lady in this parable kept going back and bothering the judge because she wasn’t going to take no for an answer and because of that she was vindicated.  When we pray, we need to pray earnestly, believing we will receive what we pray for, which is called faith, and not give up!! Maybe we all should learn from her example and never give up and continue to seek the Lord trusting Him to do what is right in every situation.  I think I said enough on this subject and my prayer is that this was a help and a blessing to you.  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you all have a super, super day.

Much Love

I have read about this many times; that those who are forgiven more, love more and those who are forgiven less, love less.  This just stands on its own merits.  Think of this; if someone kills someone and is forgiven and pardoned and someone else steals a candy bar and is forgiven and pardoned, which one do you think would be more appreciative and love more?  I would think the person who was forgiven and pardoned for killing someone, at least they should be.  Which one is the worst crime?  I am sure that any adult would know this without much consideration on anyone’s part and more than likely say the murder was the worse crime.

Now think of this; which one of these crimes do you think the Lord would consider worse?  Looking at it from the sin angle, when you consider what God’s Word says about sin, the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  I don’t know if you have thought about this before but there are different degrees of sin but the same consequence (death).  If you kill someone, their immediate family is affected.  If the person is married, the spouse and kids, if they have kids, and the extended families are affected along with friends and their business or the place where they were employed and more.  If someone steals a candy bar, the owner of the candy bar is affected and of course in both cases the offender is affected also.  Then think of this, the one who kills someone not only gets a spiritual death but they may pay for their crime by a physical death also compared to the person who stole the candy bar.

In case you didn’t know or understand, when Adam and Eve sinned they didn’t die right away physically but they did die spiritually.  Maybe you think I am being too judgmental about this and you may feel that you have not committed any bad crimes or even sinned that badly and you feel like you love the Lord as much as anyone else, please don’t stop reading.  Read about what Jesus had to say about this subject then you will know why I said what I said.

Please read Luke 7: 36-47, “Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, ‘This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.’ And Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Simon, I have something to say to you.’ So he said ‘Teacher, say it.’  There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more.  Simon answered and said, ‘I suppose the one whom he forgave more.’ And He said to him, ‘You have rightly judged.’ Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, ‘Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.’ Then He said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’”

I think the message is very clear, I hope this is an encouragement and a blessing.  Have a super day and may the good Lord bless you and yours!!
PS don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord for He is worthy!!

Be Pleasing To God

Question:  how do we please God?  The simple answer is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, strength and mind and love our neighbor as ourselves and try our best to keep His commandments!!  How do we walk in integrity before our God?  Before we can answer that question, we need to make clear which God we are talking about, because there are many who claim that there are many, so called gods, in this world.

Way back in the Old Testament people have bowed down and worshiped what they referred to as gods.  In the Old Testament people worshiped bulls and Baal and other so-called gods.  In the New Testament you can read about what some people worshiped as gods also, please read Romans 1:18-23, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”

In my opinion the God of the Holy Scriptures is the only true God, the One that created the heavens and the earth in the beginning and many more things along with it.  You can read about the account of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2, and other places in the Word of God.

Now let’s get back to walking with integrity with our God and how we accomplish that.  Please read Psalms 15:1-5, “Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; he who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he honors those who fear the Lord; he who swears to his own hurt and does not change; he who does not put out his money at usury, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved”

This is what it means to walk with integrity.  Question:  how’s your walk, is it
pleasing to God?  If not, I hope you will take this Tidbit to heart.  My prayer is that this Tidbit has been helpful and a blessing to all who read it and a help with your walk with the Lord!!  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you all have a super, super day!!
