God’s Glory and Handiwork

What is it that declares the glory of God and his handiwork?  People declare the glory of God by their mouths and their actions.  I have heard recently of a lady who demonstrates the glory of God by her testimony and her actions, plus I have heard of many others who are doing and have done the same thing in their walk with Lord.  I wonder if you could say the same thing by the way you live your life.  It is amazing to hear or see how drastically some people change at the point of their conversion compared to others.  But it is not whether you change very quickly or slower, it is the transformation that counts.

If nothing happens and if there is no change in your life or transformation, then I don’t see how you could possibly be born again because it would be inconsistent with the word of God.  Please read 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Think of kids, they may grow and mature at different rates as far as
skills and maturity are concerned, but they usually get there sooner or later.  I praise the Lord for all the great testimonies that I have seen or heard about people that have been transformed and set free of the enslavement of sin in their lives.

There is something else that shows God’s glory and handiwork that anyone can see please read Psalms 19:1-7, “For the music director, a psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky shows His handiwork. Day to day they speak, night to night they reveal knowledge. There is no speech, no words, where their voice goes unheard. Their voice has gone out to all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In the heavens He pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his bridal chamber. It is like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other end.
Nothing is hidden from its heat.”

I realize that many people do not choose to acknowledge God’s handiwork
nor do they praise or glorify his holiness, but I pray that all will come to true repentance that leads to true salvation.  There will be no excuse when it is all said and done, and the Lord returns for all his people that are still here at that time, because all you have to do is look up.

May the good Lord bless you and yours and may all of you have a super day!!  It is a good thing to thank and praise the Lord for He is worthy, try it and see what happens!!

Private War

I think that most people are fighting a private war inside, something they would have a very hard time sharing with others.  It is very hard to know what people are going through or have been through.  It is easy to sit in judgement of others when you don’t know what their story is or even if you do know their story.  We are notorious for standing in judgement of others, even if we call ourselves believers.

This is everyone’s condition before conversion, we all fall into line somewhere in these verses, we are all guilty of sin whether we admit it or not.  Please read Romans 1:18-32, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Think of this, what right do we have to judge someone else when we were all in this same boat of sinners before we received God’s free gift of grace when we truly repented and turned away from our sins and asked the Lord to come in and cleanse us of all sin and to be our Lord and Savior.  I am just as guilty as anyone else.  What we are supposed to be is ambassadors of Christ, who when dying for our sins and the rest of the world’s sins, said in all his suffering, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”  If we are believers shouldn’t we say the same things Jesus said and put those words into action.

What about the greatest commandment and the second commandment that says this in Matthew 22:36-40, “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’”

Let’s let God be the judge because he knows everything about every person and none of us do.  I know the Bible says you will know them by their fruit, but if all we are doing is being fruit inspectors, we should not forget to look at our own imperfections also.  Think of this, even if you are right about a person, are we called to condemn people or to love and forgive and build them up in the faith?

If there was less condemning and judging and more loving and forgiving, there would be far more people wanting to hear the truth and receive the truth.  If the real truth was proclaimed from a loving, compassionate person it would be received far more readily than from a person that strikes like a viper with their mouth with a judgmental attitude.

I have heard it said that a gentle answer turns away wrath, please read what it says Proverbs 15:1-4, “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.  The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.”

This Tidbit has truly spoken to me, I hope I live this out the rest of my life.  If this has truly spoken to anyone, I pray you will live this out also.  May the good Lord bless you all and may you have a super day!!

Games People Play

Playing games with someone in a life or death situation is not a good thing.  I think most people would agree with that.  Telling people half-truths is like throwing them a rope that isn’t tied to anything, while they are falling off a high cliff.  Telling people half-truths is like telling people lies.  How will anyone know they need to be lifted out of the muck and mire if they don’t know they are sinking?  Think of this, everyone is in a life and death situation, because everyone that lives will pass on someday, but after that the white throne Judgement will take place according to God’s word.

Someday Jesus will return, and every eye will see Him, and every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  This is not a time to play games, but it is a time to get downright serious about where you are going to spend eternity.  I want to tell you that God loves you and He is not willing that any be lost but that all will come to repentance.  As long as you are still living, you have a choice to make, you can repent and turn from your sins and turn to God and find forgiveness or you can keep rebelling against the Lord and go your own way and end up separated from the Lord forever in a place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We cannot possibly know how much God loves us, but we can read about it in John 3:16 and many other places in the word of God.  God loved us enough to send his son, Jesus, into the world to be our sacrificial lamb, to give His life a ransom for all who will receive him.  This is what the word of God says about him in John 3:17-20, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

Now please read John 3:34-36, “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

If anyone expects to go to heaven or have eternal life, they must be born again, or born from above, there is no getting around that fact.  Now please read John 3:1-8, “There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, ‘Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.’ Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus said to Him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’ Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Now read 2 Corinthians 7:10, “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”

The choice is yours, I prayed that you would make the right one.  May you and yours have a blessed day, I hope this has been an encouragement and help and blessing to all who read it!!  Don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord, for He is so worthy.
