Are you walking as wise or unwise?
It says this in God’s Word in Ephesians 5:15-21, “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as
unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are
evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the
Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for
all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be
subject to one another in the fear of Christ.”
I think every born-again believer can discern the signs of
the end times and each one knows that we are living in the last days. How we live is very important, we can either
live as wise or unwise people.
The Word of the Lord says this Psalms 111:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise
endures forever.”
Without the Lord’s wisdom you will never walk as wise. When you make Him the Lord of your life you will
then walk in His light and not gratify the works of the flesh, in other words
you will walk as truly wise. As you get
into the Word of the Lord it will become to you like a lamp unto your feet and
a light unto your path, as the Psalmist said. Then as you hide it in your heart and meditate
on it, it will make you wise and will help keep you from yielding to temptation
and sinning against the Lord.
In Romans 1:21-25 it says this about those who thought they
were wise but were very unwise, “For even
though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they
became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the
incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and
four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
Therefore God gave
them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would
be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and
worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
Amen”
Those who walk as unwise walk according to the flesh and do
the works of the flesh. This is what it says about the works of the flesh in Galatians
5:19-21, “Now the deeds of the flesh are
evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery,
enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions,
factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I
forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such
things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Those that walk as wise, will walk according to God’s Spirit
and have the fruits of the Spirit in their lives, which are these written in
Galatians 5:22-25, “But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who
belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If
we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
My question to you is this; do you think you are walking in
the wisdom of the Lord or are you just wise in your own eyes walking in the wisdom
of the world as unwise?
God Word says this Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of
death.”
There are many ways, and many roads, you can travel which
can lead towards God or away from God, but there is only one way to get to God
and that is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, which I have said in
many of my Tidbits. I will make it very
plain and simple, without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are
walking as unwise!! The reason I say
this is because true wisdom only comes from the Lord, everything else is worldly
wisdom and much of that comes from the evil one. Enough said! I have given you something to think about. Have a super day and may the good Lord bless
you richly.
