This reminds me of Ecclesiastes 12:13-14,“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole
matter: fear God and keep His
commandments, for this is man’s all. For
God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether
good or evil.”
This is why I think it is so important to pray first thing
in the morning and include the Lord in our day, before we get so busy with our
plans that we forget to include the Lord into our active lifestyle. Can a believer or non-believer go about their
day without consulting the Lord? Sure they
can, it happens every day. Everyone has
a choice to include the Lord in their day and their decisions or not. But remember we have no idea of the situations
and circumstances we will face today, or any day, but the Lord knows all things
and He wants to be included in our lives every single day. When we don’t allow the Lord into our lives
each day by spending time with Him in prayer and Bible reading, we should not expect
His help and His protection when we need it, but thank the Lord His Word says
He is faithful even if we are not faithful.
It says this in 2 Timothy 2:11-13:
“This is a faithful
saying:
For if we died with
Him,
We shall also live
with Him.
If we endure,
We shall also reign
with Him.
If we deny Him,
He also will deny us.
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny
Himself.”
There are going to be times in our Christian walk when we
will face some very difficult times, even persecution, but we can know that God
is faithful and will never leave us; in fact there is only one way that God
will not help us and that is if we turn away from Him and refuse His help. Everyone has a free will and because of that
free will anyone can reject the Lord and go their own way if they choose to. Think about this; what are you conveying if
you leave the Lord out of your plans by not spending any time with Him in
prayer and Bible study or just plain neglecting Him, is that the same as
denying Him? You be the judge.
Having a personal relationship with someone is not just ‘saying’
you have one, it is ‘showing’ it by your actions. On the other hand, if you are striving to live
a godly life and are overwhelmed with life’s circumstances and problems and it
seems you have been depleted of all faith, you can be sure that the Lord will
always remain faithful to you and to Himself. If you are facing hardships, don’t try to
handle them by yourself, include the Lord in your everyday struggles and get
the victory over the things that seem to weigh you down and steal your victory.
The Lord says this in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden
is light.”
Read this also in 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he
careth for you.”
Remember the Lord will never leave you or forsake you because
He will always be faithful to you and to His promises, because He is love and
He loves you more than you will ever know. Knowing this, don’t neglect to spend time with
Him and start praising and thanking Him. God bless you and may you have a super day!! Something to think about! Praise the Lord!!
