Speak Healing Words

This is something that every Christian may fall short in and it is speaking positive words into their existence, into their very souls.  These things are so important that if you don’t do these things you may never achieve your greatest potential.  If all you do is say negative things about yourself, you will always be a more negative person than a positive one.

If you are born-again you have so much potential bottled up in you that is just waiting to be released but you have to use your mouth to release this potential.  Your mouth can either bring blessing or cursing, it is your choice.  What you allow into your mind is also your choice and also what you listen to.  The Bible says to, “Take every thought captive unto the Lord.”  Your mind is sort of like a sponge, it takes in everything you hear like a sponge soaks up water.  We should be very selective of whom we listen to, not everyone is speaking the truth nor do they have our best interest in mind.

What does the Bible say about us, if you don’t know you need to start studying to see what it says?  Let me remind you of who we are in Christ:

“We are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
“We have the mind of Christ.”
“We are covered with the righteousness of Christ.”
“Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.”
“We are the children of God.”
“We are a light in this dark and sinful world.”
“We are Christ’s ambassadors.”
“We have been cleansed and washed by the blood of Jesus, set free of sin.”
“We are justified before God and we are loved unconditionally by Him.”
“We are saints and we are still alive, contrary to some teachings.”
“We are very blessed people, praise the Lord.”
”We are promised a home with Jesus someday.”

I am sure there are things I haven’t thought of or put on this list.  But take some time out and think about who you are in the Lord Jesus Christ.  The problem is even though all these things are true when you keep saying negative things about yourself you cancel out these positive things that the Word says about you.  You have got to start speaking truth into your situations and circumstances and into your soul.  The enemy of our soul loves it when we beat up on ourselves and say all kinds of negative things about ourselves, it makes his job a little easier.  Speaking and thinking negatively about yourself will assault your faith and what little faith you may have will never be applied in a positive manner.  Your ministry and your prayers will be hindered and everyone around will be affected by your negativity.  But worst of all you will never enjoy the freedom and the great blessing of who you are in Christ.

Now let me mention this that the Word says:

“By His stripes we are healed.”

If you are sick in your body or mind this is a promise for you, but you have to claim it by faith and speak healing into your body and mind.  The Word says in Hebrews 4:16 (NLT),  “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”  So if you are sick start doing what the Word says.  Try to find every promise you can on healing and claim them for yourself and don’t give up.

Read the story about the ‘Persistent Widow’ in Luke 18:1–8 and do what she did!  This is not a ‘name it and claim it’ message, you need a balance in everything you do.   But if it is a promise from the Lord, you can claim it for yourself, so start today to think positive about yourself and start speaking out loud healing into your mind and body in Jesus’ name.  Believe in your heart that it is going to happen and never give up until it does, no matter how long it takes.  I hope this has been an encouraging tidbit, God bless and have a great day!
