I think I’ve concluded that many people are being deceived
because they have very little discernment or maybe very limited knowledge of
the Word of God. In these perilous times
if you haven’t hidden God’s Word in your heart you may fall into deception. God’s Word says my people perish for lack of
knowledge. There are so many resources
at our fingertips to pick from and so many voices to listen to, but we need to
have knowledge from the Word of God and spiritual discernment, so the enemy of our
souls does not deceive us.
Read 2 Timothy 2:15, “Be
diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Now read some other verses that talk about this same subject.
Matthew 24:11, “Then
many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”
James 1:22, “But be
doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Matthew 24:23-24, “Then
if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe
it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
Ephesians 5:6, “Let no
one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God
comes upon the sons of disobedience.”
2 Timothy 3:13-14, “But
evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of,
knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known
the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through
faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
There are things taught today that should not be taught and
many are being deceived because of them so be careful that you are not one of
them. I hope this has been an encouragement
and help. May the good Lord bless you
and yours and may you have a super, super day!! Don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord for
He is worthy!!
