We live in a day where there is so much turmoil and uncertainty;
in a day that people are so blind to reality. Our nation seems to be split down the middle
between Conservatives and Liberals and neither one seems to have the answers. Socialists are pushing their agendas that have
been tried over and over in other countries and never worked but in the end put
people in bondage, ruled by big government that seemed to have no one’s interest
in mind but their own, squeezing all the money they can from the people they
are supposed to be serving, to support their lavish lifestyles.
If you are fifty years old or older and you are completely
honest you see a different world, so drastically changed that it is hard to
believe how it got this way. I think of
the men and women who fought in many a battle to gain our freedoms, who were
proud to stand and fight and even pay the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live
in peace free from bondage and slavery. I
want to give them all heartfelt thanks and let them know that I am sorry for
what is taking place today, but I know that it is not over yet.
I also want to give a heartfelt thanks to all the believers
that have been faithful in persecution, trials and tribulations, even giving their
lives for other kinds of freedom; freedom to speak the truth, to practice Christian
values and principles and freedom of religion.
I also give my heartfelt thanks and praise to the Lord for He came to set
the captive free from the slavery of sin and iniquity.
For all of us this can be a very trying time and very discouraging
with so many battles fought and seemingly lost, but if you are a believer I want
you to be encouraged; it isn’t over yet, some battles may be lost but not the
war. I want to encourage all of you to
stand up and fight on, knowing that we will win in the end, if we don’t faint
and give up. We are living in the last
days and these are trying, stressful times and even though it seems like our
world is spinning out of control we know the One that has always been in
control and always will be. God knew all
this would take place and He has never been taken by surprise and never will
be. We may have to suffer some sort of
persecution and some trials and tribulations now but some day we will see Jesus
face to face and it will be worth it all, and in the end we will be the victorious
ones, praise the Lord!
At this time the enemy seems to be having a field day, controlling
many in our society where he has been given authority for a short period of
time so he is trying to do all the damage he is allowed to do for he knows that
his time is short and his days are numbered. The reason I say this is that the enemy of our
souls can only do what God allows him to do, check out Job 1:10-12 and also
chapter 2:9-12. The evil one is not all
powerful, only God is and He is the one in control, like I said.
In the end we believers will be the radiant bride of Christ
without spot or wrinkle and we will reign with Him forever and ever. We don’t know exactly what we will look like,
but I think we will be radiant because God’s shekinah glory will shine on us
and we will be perfect, without sin. Think
about the caterpillar, when he spins his cocoon around himself he may think
that it is all over but at the right time he will come forth from his cocoon, or
you might say his grave, as a beautiful butterfly.
Paul said this about the children of God in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8,
“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home
in the body we are absent from the Lord— for we walk by faith, not by sight— we
are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to
be at home with the Lord.”
He also said this, talking about the redeemed of the Lord, in
1 Corinthians 15:55, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy
victory?” Praise God!
I hope this ‘tidbit’ is an encouragement to all who read it and
especially for the believer because in the end we win, praise the Lord!! Something to think about! May God bless you and yours and may you have a
super day!! P.S. don’t forget to thank
and praise the Lord!
