Set Free Praise The Lord

I am sure that there are many that would love to be set free, either from an illness or from a hurried decision that they had made and were sorry for, or just out and out sin that they are guilty of, or many other things that could be mentioned.  I have good news, there is hope and an answer to your dilemma, in a name, it is Jesus Christ the Lord.  He came to give us life and to give it more abundantly, praise His name.  He came to set the captive free, to open the eyes of the blind, to heal the sick and to cast out demons and to proclaim the good news.  He also fed the poor and He also gave justice to the widow and orphan and beyond that He even raised the dead plus so much more.

Today I want to talk about a miracle in the form of a healing and deliverance which He has performed multitudes of times.  Possibly you need a healing and a deliverance in your body today and you have been praying for it for many years.  Maybe you are on the verge of giving up because you think it will never happen and your faith seems to be dwindling.  I want to encourage you to not give up.

I had severe asthma for close to 60 years and I don’t know how many times I prayed to be healed, and then one day I was praying in the morning and praise the Lord I was healed following that prayer.  At times people give up, possibly just before the breakthrough.  Think of this, what if I gave up the day before my healing or what you might call my breakthrough or deliverance, I may have never experienced the healing I so desperately wanted and needed, but praise be to the Lord I didn’t.  All the glory and all the praise go to the Lord!!  Sometimes we miss the Lord’s timing and we think because we don’t get healed that the Lord is saying no permanently and all it is, is that the time isn’t right yet, and His answer is wait. The day I prayed for the healing and ended up being healed and delivered, that morning I was reading about the lady that was set free after being bent over for eighteen years.  This lady was bound for eighteen years and at the time she wasn’t even praying, as far as I know, but I am sure she must have prayed for her condition maybe several times without being healed and delivered  then Jesus comes on the scene and sets her free, praise the Lord, when she least expected it; then she stood up and started praising the Lord.  Can you imagine the excitement she felt after not being able to straighten up for so many years?  This was amazing!

Please read this account in Luke 13:10-17, “And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.”

This lady may have thought she would never be healed and set free from her infirmity, but she was.  The moral of the story is that we should never give up until the answer comes.

Let me give you another example of this in Luke 18:1-8, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

The lady in this parable kept going back and bothering the judge because she wasn’t going to take no for an answer and because of that she was vindicated.  When we pray, we need to pray earnestly, believing we will receive what we pray for, which is called faith, and not give up!! Maybe we all should learn from her example and never give up and continue to seek the Lord trusting Him to do what is right in every situation.  I think I said enough on this subject and my prayer is that this was a help and a blessing to you.  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you all have a super, super day.
