Way back in the Old Testament people have bowed down and
worshiped what they referred to as gods. In the Old Testament people worshiped bulls
and Baal and other so-called gods. In
the New Testament you can read about what some people worshiped as gods also,
please read Romans 1:18-23, “For the
wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what
may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For
since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and
Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they
did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their
thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they
became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made
like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”
In my opinion the God of the Holy Scriptures is the only
true God, the One that created the heavens and the earth in the beginning and
many more things along with it. You can
read about the account of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2, and other
places in the Word of God.
Now let’s get back to walking with integrity with our God
and how we accomplish that. Please read
Psalms 15:1-5, “Lord, who may abide in
Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and
works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; he who does not
backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor does he take up a
reproach against his friend; in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he
honors those who fear the Lord; he who swears to his own hurt and does not
change; he who does not put out his money at usury, nor does he take a bribe
against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved”
This is what it means to walk with integrity. Question: how’s your walk, is it
pleasing to God? If
not, I hope you will take this Tidbit to heart. My prayer is that this Tidbit has been helpful
and a blessing to all who read it and a help with your walk with the
Lord!! May the good Lord bless you and
yours and may you all have a super, super day!!
