Praise You Lord

I want to write about praise and thanksgiving today.  I want to remind you that no matter the circumstances or situations you find yourself in today God is worthy of our thanks and praise.  If you have to give Him a sacrifice of praise today please do it.

Try to remember what He sacrificed for you, sending His only begotten Son to take your place, taking your shame and the cross that you should have been impaled on, a man who had no sin became sin that we could be set free from its bondage in our lives, a debt that we owed but could have never repaid.
Jesus knew that so He willingly gave up His life to buy our pardon, praise you Jesus and God, my heavenly Father!!

Do you realize that God inhabits the praise of His people?  The way I see it if you inhabit something, take a building for instance, that is empty and you walk into it you inhabit that building.  Well I think you can praise God in many ways, not just music you can worship and praise the Lord while working or just walking down the street.  There is one thing we need to remember, we need to worship God in spirit and in truth.

This is what Jesus told the woman in Samaria in John 4:21-24, “Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.’”

Worship should be very sincere, from a heart of love and devotion.  I believe this kind of worship can only come through a born-again believer who has the Holy Spirit within them, one who knows the truth and has been set free by the truth and is truly thankful.

Psalms 150:1-6 is a great Psalm, it speaks of what and why and with what we can use to praise God.  Please read verses 1-6:
“Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!”

I was watching a documentary on persecution and what some Christians have to go through in other countries of the world and it was horrible.  They truly need your support and prayers.  I was thinking this is surely something we can thank and praise the Lord for, that we still live in a somewhat free nation.  I read years ago that the underground church would praise the Lord while singing without sound but they still praised and thanked the Lord.  So start praising and thanking Him in spirit and in truth because He inhabits it and loves it and the Lord is worthy.  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!!
