God

Do you know what God’s Word says about the people who say there is no God?  It says this, David speaking, in Psalms 14:1:
“The fool has said in his heart,
‘There is no God.’
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.”

This is talking about a person who rejects God, not necessarily a person that is stupid, unlearned or uneducated.  Many are very smart people, according to the world’s standards, but they don’t accept the notion that God exists and to their shame they have traded the truth of God for a lie, even going as far as worshiping what God created instead of God the Creator of all things, who is to be ever worshiped and praised.  Many of these people believe that man is subject only to man and can redeem himself and save the world by their own efforts because in time they will receive the status of god and be equal to God, which is based on Evolution.

This reminds me of Lucifer who stood in the presence of God, who was a very beautiful angel.  Isaiah says this about him in 14:12-15:
“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit. “

Read what it says about God in 1 Corinthians 1:25, “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

These people teach things that are corrupting the minds of young people, and adults in many cases.  Their religion is called Secular Humanism and their philosophy goes way back to Corinth where Paul started a church in New Testament times and this teaching is still with us today.  Read what God thinks of worldly wisdom in 1 Corinthians 1:18-31:
”For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.’”

I saw a lady that believed in Secular Humanism standing by a sea quite a while ago in a film saying over and over again, “I am god, I am god.”  I will not mention her by name but my prayer is that she eventually found the Lord and His truths.  Every believer should be praying that these people will come to know the truth and escape this false teaching.

The people that are not born-again, cannot receive the things of the Spirit.  Read what it says in 1 Corinthians 2:12-16:
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”

So if your desire is to know the truth so that you can be set free, turn from your sins which is called repentance, confess your sins and ask the Lord to forgive you and to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior.  Don’t rush through this process, take your time and let the Lord fill you with His peace, love and joy.  Then share what the Lord has done and start thanking and praising the Lord and start growing in your new found faith and start fellowshipping with other believers.  I have given you something to think about and I hope you will act on it.  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!!
