Faith Brings Joy

I want you to read and receive some amazing news today that has brought joy to every believer that walks by faith.  I read it this morning and I thought I would pass it on to whoever would read it, to encourage them whether believer or un-believer.

It says these truths in Romans 5:1-7, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.”

When I think about being justified by the Creator of the universe, it is on one hand hard to comprehend and on the other hand it is amazing.  How can anyone understand God’s amazing grace being poured out on sinful mankind?  Think about it, when we were enemies of God blaspheming and taking His name in vain, wallowing in every kind of sin imaginable, God justified us (made us right) with Him through the atoning sacrifice of his beloved Son, Jesus.  Jesus willingly allowed Himself to suffer terribly, the righteous taking the sinner’s death of crucifixion to give the guilty sinners a pardon and new life which they didn’t deserve.  Try to take this in; each of us had a death sentence on our lives from the moment we were born, without a chance of a pardon because of the sin nature we inherited from Adam which made us sinners and enemies of God.

This is what it says in verses 12-19 of that same chapter, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”

Now read some encouraging words in verses 8-11 of chapter 5: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”

God’s Word says this in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Read this in John 3:16-18, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

This is great news!  If you feel the tug of God in your life which is called conviction, call out to the Lord and tell Him your need of His saving grace in your life.  Confess that you are a sinner in need of His forgiveness and ask Him to be your Savior and the Lord of your life.  Don’t be in a hurry, let the Lord’s peace, love and joy fill your heart, then walk away victorious and start growing in the Lord.  Something to think about!  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!!  PS don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord!!
