New Creation

There is nothing better than a relationship with the Lord Jesus.  It is like a do over in life.  When you turn from your sins and turn to the King of kings and Lord of lords in true repentance, it is like a new life has sprung up within you and you are a brand-new creation.  This brings back to me what it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17-27, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

A true born-again believer experiences something totally unforgettable.  I don’t care if you back-slide or you get angry at God and choose to walk away and never return to your prior position with the Lord, you will never forget what you had and I don’t believe you will ever be content or completely happy or have true peace in your heart ever again until you are back in that relationship again.  Having a true relationship with the Lord isn’t like having a relationship with a woman or a man and falling away from that relationship and getting into another relationship or being married and divorced and getting re-married; no, I am talking about the greatest thing that could happen to a person ever.

You may say to yourself how does he know?  Personally, I have been in all these situations except one and I can only truly speak for myself, but I think it is true for everyone!!  I never chose to walk away and not return, and from my understanding anyone can choose to walk away because of the free will we all have been given.

Now let me, in a feeble attempt, try to help you understand this a little better.  Think about this, you are homeless with no place to live but the streets for a long period of time, just scraping by, most of the time eating very little, then someone comes by and hands you a 20 dollar bill and you decide to buy a lottery ticket with some of  the money and you hit the big one; one million dollars and you are ecstatic about it.  So now you are off the streets, living in a beautiful house, buying a whole new wardrobe, eating like a king and you have all kinds of friends and you can come and go as you please and buy most anything you would want to own.  Then one day you go for broke on a bet and you lose everything, and again you find yourself on the street again, like waking up from a bad dream, but it is reality.  Do you think that you would ever recover from the experience that you had?  I think not, but having a relationship with the Lord and somehow losing it would be far worse than the scenario I just mentioned, at least in my opinion.

You may be asking yourself how can I experience this amazing experience for myself?  The Word of God says we have all sinned and fell short of the glory of God, it also talks about repentance all through the Word of God.  It talks about other things like this.  There is none righteous, no, not one.  And our righteousness is of filthy rags.  If you accept what the Word of God says, acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of God’s mercy and grace and forgiveness,  and you truly choose to repent, turning from your sins and turning to God, confessing and asking Him to forgive you and to come in and be your Lord and Savior; I believe these are the keys to true salvation.

Please read 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Now please read Revelations 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

This is talking about your heart, the center of your being.  He will indwell you in the form of the Holy Spirit and your body will become the temple of the Holy Spirit, praise the Lord, and you will never forget that experience.  When you become a child of God everything will become different and you will be born-again into the family of God!!  The Holy Spirit will lead you into all the truth and the truth will set you free!!  The choice is yours, please make the right one, choose life!!  Enough said, may you and yours have a super day and may the good Lord bless you with His perfect peace, love and joy and health and happiness!!
