In The Last Days

From the time of Christ’s resurrection until now people have been living in the last days and I believe we are living in the end of the last days.  If anyone has any knowledge of the Bible at all and has read what Jesus said about what would happen at the end of the age they can clearly see, we are in the end of the end times.

Read Matthew 24:3-29, “Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

This doesn’t sound like a secret event to me, now let’s go on in this chapter read verses 30-31, “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

I personally don’t hold to a pre-trib rapture and I know many do but I think if you get a pre-trib rapture book and don’t take any of the verses they use out of context and pray, asking the Holy Spirit to teach you, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.  I know it is a convenient doctrine because no one wants to suffer persecution and I don’t either, but if we are here it will happen, it is inevitable.  I know that people will say that as believers we will not suffer God’s wrath and I believe that, but persecution and God’s wrath are not the same thing.  Paul said if anyone lives a godly life they will be persecuted, he didn’t say they might, he said that they will.

Jesus said it will be so bad that many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.  We are so used to hearing about God’s love and mercy that many of us can’t even comprehend what it will be like and many will feel betrayed to the point of being very angry and blame God and they may hate the people because they didn’t prepare them for what is taking place.  God does love His people along with everyone else all you have to do is read John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

I want to say this; the people may be perfectly innocent that may not have warned you because they didn’t know themselves.  I don’t want you to just take my word for what I am saying but study the scriptures for yourself with an open mind and see for yourself what the Word says.  We are living in very troubling times and it is only going to get worse.

Let me share some other things that God’s word says about the end times. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-9, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.”

In the end times God’s wrath will be poured out on the ungodly, not on the true men and women and young people of God.  Now read what Paul told Timothy in that same chapter and to all who read these verses 10-17, “But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

I know this is a controversial subject, but I believe that everyone should be prepared, because I care.  I hope you won’t just blow this message off and if you want to know more about this subject look up Dr. Michael Brown and Professor Craig Keener on YouTube, and you can find others that talk about the message also.  I hope this will help you and may the good Lord bless you and yours!!
