that can
be just as bad, maybe worse. We don’t
want any cracks in our armor where the evil one can get a foothold. We can get cracks in our armor by some of the
things we say and some of the things that we do and our thought life, which can
be called stinking thinking depending on what we meditate on. The way we talk to each other about each other
as believers, you would think we hated each other in many cases. If we don’t agree with one another we usually
don’t want anything to do with that person, and I am just as guilty as the next
person.
That is
one of the things I like about doing these blogs, I get convicted at times when
I do them and there are times when I stop everything and pray and confess and
ask the good Lord to forgive me and to help me to love people beyond just words.
Words can hurt, they can destroy
relationships, marriages and families. Getting
angry and bitter is a good way to open yourself to demonic activity and may
cause cracks in your armor. If you fall
into a root of bitterness, it is easy to speak lies and listen to lies,
believing them to be true. Plus,
bitterness can cause you to harden your heart and none of us want that to take
place in our hearts and lives, like many of the unbelievers have done.
Please
read Ephesians 4:17-32, “This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord,
that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the
futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated
from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the
blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over
to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so
learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as
the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old
man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the
spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created
according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, putting away
lying, ‘Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,’ for we are members
of one another. ‘Be angry, and do not sin’: do not let the sun go down on your
wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but
rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have
something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your
mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to
the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed
for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil
speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
We need
to take these things very seriously like a good soldier who never goes out
without his armor on. When we are born-again,
we join the army of God and we need to have the whole armor of God on. Please read Ephesians 6:10-20, “Finally, my
brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole
armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For
we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts
of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of
God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the
breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of
the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will
be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this
end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that
utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the
mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may
speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
Our enemy
is the accuser of the brethren and he doesn’t give up trying to destroy all of
God’s people and one of the ways he can accomplish his task is by us opening up
to him through the way we live our lives. Many believers live like they are wrestling
against flesh and blood, the way we treat each other. Don’t forget who we are wrestling with, we are
wrestling against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places
so we need to have on the whole armor of God. This is so imperative, we need to take every
thought captive unto the Lord, and we need to resist the evil one so that he will
have to flee from us, and humble ourselves before our God that He will lift us
up in His time.
Enough said,
may you all have a super day, and may the good Lord bless you and yours with His
perfect peace, love and joy and health and happiness. I pray that this has been a blessing and a
help and also an encouragement to all that read it and may God receive all the
praise, honor and glory!!
