Someday
Jesus will return, and every eye will see Him, and every knee will bow, and
every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This is not a time to play games, but it is a
time to get downright serious about where you are going to spend eternity. I want to tell you that God loves you and He
is not willing that any be lost but that all will come to repentance. As long as you are still living, you have a
choice to make, you can repent and turn from your sins and turn to God and find
forgiveness or you can keep rebelling against the Lord and go your own way and
end up separated from the Lord forever in a place where there will be weeping
and gnashing of teeth.
We
cannot possibly know how much God loves us, but we can read about it in John 3:16
and many other places in the word of God. God loved us enough to send his son, Jesus,
into the world to be our sacrificial lamb, to give His life a ransom for all
who will receive him. This is what the
word of God says about him in John 3:17-20, “For God did not send His Son
into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be
saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is
condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light,
lest his deeds should be exposed.”
Now
please read John 3:34-36, “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God,
for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has
given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting
life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of
God abides on him.”
If anyone
expects to go to heaven or have eternal life, they must be born again, or born
from above, there is no getting around that fact. Now please read John 3:1-8, “There was a
man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to
Jesus by night and said to Him, ‘Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come
from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.’ Jesus
answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus said to Him, ‘How can a man
be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and
be born?’ Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of
water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of
the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not
marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it
wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and
where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Now read
2 Corinthians 7:10, “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to
salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
The
choice is yours, I prayed that you would make the right one. May you and yours have a blessed day, I hope
this has been an encouragement and help and blessing to all who read it!! Don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord, for
He is so worthy.
