Hurting People

The Lord understands hurting people and He loves them and has compassion for them.  Those that are down and those that are sick because of the sin in their lives or natural reasons who acknowledge their need of forgiveness and a Savior, they are the ones the Lord came to earth for.  Read what it says in Mark 2:17, “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Now read what it says about the hurting, sick and demon possessed becoming whole in Mark 1:29-45, “And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; and saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.”

Every hurting person who came to Jesus when He walked the earth never went away disappointed.  Whatever they needed He took care of for them, for that was the reason He came.  He came to set an example for how we should live.  He came to preach and to teach, to heal and to set the captive free and to raise the dead, also to show what His heavenly Father was like and to demonstrate His love and to give His life a ransom for all who would put their trust in Him.   He also came that we might have life and have it more abundantly and to help us to be overcomers, to fill us with His wisdom and knowledge so that we would not lean on our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledge Him so that He could guide or paths.

Jesus also loved the orphans and the widows.  Read what it says in James 1:27, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

So if you are feeling down and discouraged with no hope, try Jesus, you are just the kind of person He is seeking to help and set free.  Something to think about, have a super day and may the good Lord bless you and yours!!  Praise and thank the Lord, it is good medicine!!
