When we were born, we were destined to receive the wrath of God in our lives because of the sin nature we were born with. Even though we didn’t ask for it or choose it, we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. We can fluff it off or make excuses for it or rebel against it or just deny it or even blame God for it, the choice is ours, but it will not change the fact that it is true.
Please read Romans 1:18-25, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that
which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto
them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal
power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they
knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain
in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the
uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and
fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to
uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own
bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and
worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
Amen”
The problem with many of us is that we want to come to God
and be right with God on our own terms and that will never work, it is God’s
way or no way. What we should do is
praise the good Lord for His mercy and grace. We were all under God’s judgment
Please read Romans 3:9-20, “What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before
proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; as it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there
is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are
together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their
throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the
poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and
bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood: destruction and misery are in
their ways: and the way of peace have they not known: there is no fear of God
before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith
to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the
world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there
shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of
sin.”
But the Lord made a way that we could be right with Him,
through His beloved Son Jesus Christ.
Please read Romans 3:21-31, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being
witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is
by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is
no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to
declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the
forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he
might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is
boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of
faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds
of the law. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes,
of the Gentiles also: seeing it is one God, which shall justify the
circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void
the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”
When we were dead in our sins and trespasses God sent His
Son Jesus into the world so that if we would believe in Him we could be saved.
Please read Romans 5:1-11 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein
we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we
glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and
patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed;
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is
given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died
for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his
love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the
death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
we have now received the atonement.”
So if you want this gift of Salvation, turn from your sins,
which is called repentance, and ask the Lord to forgive you and to be both your
Savior and Lord!! The humble and
contrite heart is what the Lord is seeking. So seek the Lord while He may be found. Something to think about and may you have a
super day and may the good Lord bless you and yours!!
