The Dead Walking

I have heard something close to this before, but my question is this, how can you see the dead walking, dead people don’t walk, do they?  I don’t think you will see to many physically dead people walking, so in this case we are talking about spiritually dead people.

What am I talking about?  I am talking about people that don’t have the Spirit of God living within them.  When a person is born-again, the Spirit of the living God comes in and that person’s body becomes the Temple of the Holy Spirit, then they are spiritually alive, praise the Lord, which is very good news.  People that are not born-again have a problem with understanding spiritual things because the things of God are spiritually discerned.

Without the conviction of the Holy Spirit in a unregenerate person, that person will not have any inclination towards spiritual things because they walk around in spiritual darkness.  Please read 1 Corinthians 2:14, “Now a natural man does not accept the things of the Ruach Elohim, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”  The unregenerated person has worldly wisdom, but no real spiritual wisdom, even the cross is foolishness to them.  Please read 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

The unbeliever’s mind is veiled so they cannot understand the Word of truth that is in God’s Word.  Please read 2 Corinthians 4:1-6, “For this reason, since we have this ministry, just as we received mercy, we do not lose heart. Instead, we renounced the hidden shameful ways—not walking in deception or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by the open proclamation of the truth. And even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case, the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so they might not see the light of the Good News of the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Messiah Yeshua as Lord—and ourselves as your slaves for Yeshua’s sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Messiah.”

Question: you may be asking yourself this, if an unbeliever’s heart and mind are veiled, then how is the veil lifted or taken away so that they can walk in spiritual light and escape the walking dead syndrome?  That can only be accomplished through the Lord.  Please read 2 Corinthians 3:13-17, “We are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face in order for Bnei-Yisrael not to look intently upon the end of what was passing away. But their minds were hardened. For up to this very day the same veil remains unlifted at the reading of the ancient covenant, since in Messiah it is passing away. But to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Ruach Adonai is, there is freedom.”

If you experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit, don’t harden your heart by rejecting Him, repent and make a choice to turn from your sins and turn towards the Lord, forsaking your sins and ask Him to come into your heart and life and be your Lord and Savior.  He will remove the veil and you will be set free and spiritually alive, walking in the light of God’s Word, praise the Lord!!

I hope this message has been helpful and a blessing.  May the good Lord bless you and yours with His perfect peace, love and joy and health and happiness!!  If you haven’t yet, give the Lord a shout of praise for He is worthy!!

Who Is Jesus To You

I have a neighbor that uses the name of Jesus quite often.  My neighbor uses it in a way that it shouldn’t be used.  You hear it from multitudes of people in the same way.  I dare say if you asked them who Jesus was, they wouldn’t have a clue, but they use it more than many pastors do.   They may exclaim what they have heard about Him, but that’s not really knowing Him, it is just repeating what they hear about Him.

Jesus didn’t come to dwell with us just so we would hear about Him, but He wanted us to know Him personally.  He wanted us to have a personal relationship with Him, but there is only one way that could happen and that would only be by being born-again.  Please read John chapter 3 where Jesus said you must be born-again to enter the kingdom of heaven.  Some think and say He was just a prophet some say He was a teacher some say He was a healer, but He was much more than all of these.  Some say He was a liar, a lunatic, a deceiver and much worse, because they don’t know him.

If you truly know him, you know that he is God’s only begotten Son.  Jesus never did anything wrong and He never committed a sin.  Yes, He had a righteous anger at times, but He never sinned in His anger.  How many times do you hear people cursing and the name of Jesus is included and even God’s name?  I have some real good news for those that do these things.  Please read John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

That is super news for anyone that has not truly repented and turned from their wicked ways and turned to the Lord.  When you read that whosoever, that means you or anyone else that chooses to truly repent and turn to the Lord and receive Him into their hearts and lives as their Lord and Savior    There is more good news, and that is you can have eternal life plus an abundant life here through God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ because that was one of the purposes He came.  He became the sacrificial lamb of God for the forgiveness of our sins. We all need a Savior since we were all born in sin with a sin nature.  Jesus didn’t come to condemn us, he came to lay down his life for us, allowing himself to be crucified and to suffer immensely and die and be buried so that we could be forgiven of our sins and cleansed of all our iniquities and be born-again by being washed in his precious blood!! And never doubt this He was raised from the dead to new life, and because of that we will all be raised someday some to eternal life with God others to eternal punishment!!  Please read John 3:17, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

So, there is good news and bad news.  If you chose to reject this truth and not receive Jesus, you will spend eternity separated from the Lord and everything that is holy and righteous and spend it in a place where there will be pain and suffering and agony plus weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The choice is up to you, the Word of God says seek the Lord while he can still be found!!  Enough said, may you and yours have a super day and may the good Lord bless you all according to His will.  I pray that this will be a help and an encouragement to all who read it and that the truth will set you free!!

Changed

I want to start this with some questions.  There are people that proclaim many things but, is it more talk than walk?  Have you really been changed by what you proclaim?  When you go around witnessing about your faith, do you go around proclaiming that something has happened to you that is so profound and life changing in your life that you have a struggle believing it yourself?  Then do you go around all puffed up and full of pride with a judgmental and a holier than thou attitude, when ministering to others.  Maybe you walk around like a roller coaster, up one day and down the next, with all kinds of mood changes and all you end up doing is turning people off?  Because of your experience, have you been really changed from the inside out or has it just been an emotional outward show?

If you are an emotional person, nothing may have taken place on the inside and the only change that has taken place is from an emotional experience and will fade and not last.  Think about these words, they honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.  This seems to happen in some cases, people talk the walk, but don’t truly walk the walk.  What are you really like when no one is watching?

I am speaking to myself as well as whoever reads this, these are questions we should ask ourselves at times.  None of us can afford to be hood-winked when it comes to our salvation, it is the most important decision we will ever make.  I want to make this very clear; I have been so discouraged at times and so down on myself that I have doubted my relationship with God, which seems to come easy when you allow yourself to get in those situations.  The devil is the accuser of the brethren and would love to get us so down on ourselves that we would want to throw up our hands and admit defeat and throw in the towel, so to speak, and give up completely.  And, I am afraid that many have, because they believed the negativity and the lies that were fed to them by others and even from relatives and friends who may be jealous or just don’t have a real grasp on the Word of God, so be careful what you take in as truth.

Getting back to our main topic, like I said earlier, it is important to ask these questions at times; the Word of God says to examine yourself to see if you are in the faith.  Are you a new creation in Christ?  Do you hate sin?  Have you truly experienced godly sorrow and true repentance?  Have you ever wept over your sinful condition and how it hurts the Lord?  Are you studying God’s Word and praying, seeking to honor the Lord daily?  Have you grown cold with the things of God or have you left your first love, which should have been the Lord?  Only you and I can answer these questions, and they are very important?

Maybe you are in a backslidden condition and you need to truly repent and get back to your first love.  God’s Word talks about the shepherd who left the 99 sheep that didn’t go astray, to find the one who did.  Jesus is the good Shepherd and He is not willing that any be lost, but that all come to repentance.  Maybe you have just been kidding yourself and you have never been born again.

Like I said, examine yourself to see if you are in the faith.  I pray that you will make the right choice if you are in any of these situations.  Please, truly repent and don’t forget godly sorrow, because that is true sorrow, then make things right with the Lord as soon as possible and please don’t put it off a second longer!!

May the good Lord bless you and yours with His perfect peace, love and joy and health and happiness and may you all have a super day!!  PS don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord, for He is worthy, Amen!!
