A Redeemer

Think of this, if there is intelligence then there has to be an intelligent designer!  Think about the thousands, maybe millions, of facts that can be known about you because of your DNA.  If something is created, there is a reason and a creator for its creation, nothing is created by chance.  What does the Word of God say about this?  

Read Genesis 1:1-8, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Then God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’ Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.”

Then it goes on to say that God created everything man needed to sustain life, plus man and woman.  In the third chapter we hear about Eve being deceived by the serpent and taking a bite from the forbidden fruit and Adam choosing to do so also, when she gave it to him.  From this rebellious act, sin was introduced into the world and it has affected everyone since that has been born to a mom and dad.  From Adam and Eve death entered the world even before the law was given because death was one of the results of their sin.

Read what it says in Romans 5:12, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned..”  

Now read Romans 3:23, “..for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..”  

Next read what it says in Isaiah 59:1-2, “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.”

God is so holy, righteous and just that He cannot look at, or tolerate, sin and if you are holding onto sin and will not repent of it God will not hear your prayers.  Think about Jesus hanging on the cross when He said, “Father why hast thou forsaken me?”  Did God forsake His Son?  I don’t think so, I think He turned His back on the sin that Jesus was dying for, He was a man who knew no sin to be sin for us.

Read 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

As far as we know, God never answered Him on the cross.  So with all this said we were, or are, all in this separation together depending on whether we are born-again or not.  But the good news is that no one has to stay in that separated situation because God has made a way that we all can be redeemed because He loves us.

Read John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

The Word says that without the shedding of blood there is no remittance of sin.  Jesus became our substitution, so instead of us shedding our blood for our sin Jesus shed His blood for our sins and He did it willingly, out of His love for us.  If you haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today would be a good day.  Repent of your sins and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you and forgive you and to be the Lord of your life.  If you are sincere, I believe that He will, but take your time and don’t be in a hurry, let the Lord fill you with His peace, love and joy and then start growing in your new found faith.  Then find a church where they preach the truth and fellowship with other believers and share what the Lord has done for you.  Something to think about!  Have a super day!!  May the good Lord bless you and yours!
