The Holy Spirit is our helper, our comforter, our teacher and
our guide. He also convicts us of our
sins and empowers us.
Please read John 14:15-19, “If ye love me, keep my
commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the
world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye
know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no
more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.”
Now please read John 16:5-15, “But now I go my way to
him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I
have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I
tell you the truth; It is expe0dient for you that I go away: for if I go not
away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him
unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness,
and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness,
because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the
prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall
glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All
things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of
mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
Now please read Romans 8:26-27, “Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the
Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of
God.”
Galatians 5:16-26, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and
you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one
another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by
the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident,
which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery,
hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions,
dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of
which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of
the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those
who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we
live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become
conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
I wanted to put some verses in here so that you might know
the precious Holy Spirit better, in case you didn’t know these things about
Him. He is truly a comforter and so much
more. The Holy Spirit helps us in our
prayer life when we don’t know what or how to pray or how to express ourselves
and so much more. When we are born-again,
our bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit and we can walk in the Spirit and
not gratify the desires of the flesh.
I pray that this was a help and a blessing to you and
yours and may the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day. If you haven’t yet, be sure to thank and
praise the Lord for He is truly worthy!!
