Will you be ready on judgment day? This is a question that everyone should ask
themselves at some point or other in their life time because every one of us
will stand before the white throne judgment seat someday. Born-again believers will be there to be
judged for their works. Read Romans 14:12,
“So then each of us shall give account of
himself to God.”
We are all accountable to Christ. Now read what Paul said about this in 1
Corinthians 3:10-17, “According to the
grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the
foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds
on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is
Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver,
precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the
Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will
test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built
on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will
suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not
know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of
God is holy, which temple you are.”
This is the good news: if you are born-again you won’t be
judged for your sins because they have been forgiven, read Psalms 103:8-13, “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to
anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He
keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor
punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth,
so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the
west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father pities his
children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.”
And my last two verses on this subject; one is found in
Romans 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no
condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the
flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
But, what about those who reject Jesus, living in unbelief. Read what it says in John 3:18-21, “He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that
the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and
does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does
the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they
have been done in God.”
Enough said! If you
haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can expect to be condemned
at the judgment and it will be of your own choosing. But, the good news is, if you are reading this
it is not too late, humble yourself before the Lord, ask Him to forgive you for
your sins and tell Him you are sorry, and ask Him to come into your life and be
Lord of your life. That is the reason He
came, to give His life a ransom for our sins and to reconcile mankind to God,
the Father. If you are sincere, He will
do just that for you. So take your time
and let Him fill you with His peace, love and joy, then go forth rejoicing and
share it with others and start growing in your new found faith. Find a Bible believing church and start
fellowshipping with others. May the good
Lord bless you and yours and may you have a great day!!
