No Other Name But Jesus

The name of Jesus is used by every believer at some time or other.  I have used it many times over the years; the problem is how many of us are still in awe of the name of Jesus or has it become just another name?  Some people use it to curse, others to gain something, and some use it to show how religious they are. What does it mean to you?  Is it still a powerful name or has it become a by word and insignificant?  The name of Jesus has been hated, scorned and laughed at and mocked; but has also been held in high esteem and cherished.  By using it you will either be loved or hated.

I got thinking about this, this morning because I wrote a song about the name of Jesus, so I thought after praying about it, I would do a Titbit on this subject.  The Word of God has many things to say about the name of Jesus relating to how powerful this name is.

Read what it says in John 14:11-14, “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Check out chapter 15:15-16, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

And also read this in chapter 16:23, “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.”

Keep this in mind, this is not a magic formula to get anything we want or every selfish thing we can think of, it is important to use Jesus’ name and be asking whatever His will is for our lives.  I believe these miracles can only be done in Jesus' name sprinkled with faith on our part!!
*In Jesus’ name all forms of sicknesses will be healed.
*At the name of Jesus demons will flee.
*Salvation is accomplished and sins will be forgiven.
*We can receive perfect peace, love and joy.
*Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
*In Jesus’ name marriages and relationships will be healed.
*Nations will rise or fall.
*At the name of Jesus, people are set free of whatever sin or bondage they are ensnared in.
*Enemies will be defeated.
*Restoration will take place.
*When we use the name of Jesus nothing will be impossible if it is Jesus’
        will for our lives.

There is power in the name of Jesus and it is a sacred name and is to be used with reverence.

Let me ask you some questions:
Have you experienced the power of Jesus’ name in your life lately?
Do you need His power to be set free of the bondage of sin in your life or a restoration of a marriage or a relationship?

It could be you need a miraculous healing.  It may be perfect peace you need or you need a personal relationship with Jesus; all these things and so much more can be taken care of in Jesus’ name.   Jesus loves us so much He was willing to sacrifice Himself for us, taking our blame and shame upon Him, willing to allow Himself to be crucified, die and be buried in our place, buying our pardon to bring reconciliation between us and God.

If you want a relationship with Him, repent of your sins and confess your sins and ask Him to forgive you and be your Lord and Savior.  If you are sincere, I believe it will take place.  Don’t be in a hurry, take your time and pray through and let Him fill you with His peace, love and joy.  Then find a church that will help you grow in your new found faith and share what the Lord has done with others.  Then start using the name of Jesus in a reverent way, with faith and see what happens.  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!!
