Time and Season

Just like the seasons change from winter, spring, summer and fall, we face changes, or you might say seasons or times, in our lives, some seem good and some not so good.  But it is not what we face that is so important, but how we face them.  It is how we handle them, our attitude and the way we respond in any situation or circumstance that’s important.

This is what Solomon said in the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:
“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
    And a time to die;
A time to plant,
    And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
    And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
    And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
    And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
    And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
    And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
    And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
    And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
    And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
    And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
    And a time to speak;
A time to love,
    And a time to hate;
A time of war,
    And a time of peace.”

There is a right time for everything and regardless if we are a believer or a non-believer we will face them and like I said earlier some seasons seem good and others not so good.  Some of what we just read we would like to cross off the list, if we could, but if you think about it, it is just life if we are around long enough.  Some of these things may seem contradictive to God’s plan for our lives but they all happen for a reason and we know that God’s Word says that all things work together for good to those who love God to those who are the called according to His purpose.  We will face many problems in our lives but believers will never face them alone, God is always with us.  So this list should not be things that keep us from trusting God but to help us realize without problems we would never know that God could solve them.  We also know that God has perfect timing and with His help we can overcome every circumstance and situation we will ever face.

This reminds me of what Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

As Christians we shouldn’t be surprised at how the world response to us because they haven’t been enlightened yet.  They are still walking in darkness and they think we are weird in many ways, so there is going to be tension and strife which will cause tribulation and trials.  Life is going to be a struggle with the different seasons we will face but none of them should overwhelm us.  Jesus faced them in His humanity and overcame each one of them, and with His help we will overcome them also, if we don’t give up.  Something to think about!  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!! PS don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord!!
