Security

I was just thinking about our Norton program that is supposed to keep our computer safe from viruses.  There are so many people that seem to have nothing better to do than hack into computer systems and spread worms and viruses. You need to be very careful about what you put on your computer, whether on facebook or wherever you are on your computer.  E–mail is another site that you can reveal more than you should.  When it comes to the computer I don’t think any software will keep you completely safe so be very careful what you reveal about yourself or expose yourself to.

The same thing is true in your daily life.  How secure are you?  Think about it.  I am not trying to scare anyone but in all reality you are not truly safe anywhere.  So what can a person do?  You can lock yourself in your house and never come out, but like I said you are not completely safe there either.  I think most people know that there is a certain amount of danger just living life.

Do you ever go over or under a bridge or take a walk in the woods or just down the street?  Think about it you could be in a dangerous situation.  If you drive any kind of vehicle, even a bicycle like I do, you put yourself in danger.  So what is the solution; paranoia, depression, suicide?  No, not one of these things will help, they will just make things worse.

There is only one answer to this dilemma and every other problem, and that is the Lord.  Some people say that people live for the Lord because they need Jesus as a crutch and that is true.  Though leaning on a crutch may keep you from falling, leaning on the Lord will keep you from so many other things plus you are safe in the arms of the Lord.  He’s our only true security, praise His name!

Why do we need Jesus?  Because we know that relying on ourselves doesn’t work.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.  When we lean on our own understanding we mess things up terribly most of the time. Anyone who looks back on their life as a non-believer then looks forward as a believer knows that leaning on Jesus and trusting Him has made a positive difference in their lives.  That doesn’t mean that a believer never messes up or never makes the wrong decisions, no, we are all human and none of us are perfect.

When we mess up, I don’t mean sin but just make mistakes or wrong choices, we can take them to the Lord and He will help us to respond to these things in a positive way that will be beneficial to us and not in a negative fleshly way.  If we walk in the Spirit we are guided by the Spirit. The Bible says, “The steps of the righteous man are ordained of God.”  (Psalm 37:23)

The Lord is our provider, our sustainer and our deliverer in time of trouble.  He is also our healer and our Savior.  He is our redeemer and our sure foundation.  The Lord is our encourager, our comforter and teacher.  The Lord is also our creator, our help in time of need.  He is our Heavenly Father, the only true God and King.  Under the shadow of His wings we are safe and secure.  The devil nor anything else can harm us without His permission.  He is also the one that blesses us with good and perfect gifts. And the Lord loves us more than we can comprehend or ever understand. Once we belong to Him there is nothing, or no one, that can snatch us out of His hands. The Lord has also delivered us so death, Hell and the grave have no hold on us, hallelujah!
So, if you are looking for true security you will only find it in Him.  You can call it a crutch or anything you want, just give me Jesus!  I want to lean on Him, Praise the Lord!  Just thinking about these things makes me excited and there is so much more that I didn’t mention.  If you can read this message without wanting to shout and praise the Lord, I think you better check your heart to see if you are still alive.

When I type lessons like this and think about what the Lord is doing through me and who He is and what He has done in my life, I get so excited that it makes my tremor much worse because of the flow of adrenalin and I many times can’t hit the right keys.  Thank the Lord for spell check that makes it easier and quicker for me to type.  I should be careful, if I get too excited I may fall out of my chair.

Well there it is, your true security can only come from the Lord.  If you are not doing it regularly, start leaning on Him, give Him your fears and anxieties, He loves you and you can trust Him.  If you are not a believer and you are feeling the Lord nudging you by convicting you of your sins, repent of your sins, confess them to the Lord and tell Him you are sorry, then ask Him to be the Lord of your life and let the party in Heaven begin for there is rejoicing over every sinner that repents, praise God!  If you were sincere, you are bound for Heaven someday and you are secure in the arms of the Lord!!

Hey, have a great day and may God bless you and yours.

PS don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord!
