Sin Leads To Wickedness

Some people think and teach that wickedness, or you might say sin, comes from the outside and not from the inside.  In other words, it is the way you were brought up and the environment you were brought up in that shapes and molds your way of thinking, so you just respond to what you are taught.  I believe you are influenced by these things and they can and do, in many people lives, help influence their way of thinking, like being brain washed.

Let me give you an example, I believe if you are brought up watching porn from a young age, your mind will be contaminated and it will be very hard to find real satisfaction no matter who you are with, and it will hinder your marriage, if you do get married because you will always be seeking a better feeling that you can’t find and you will never be happy or satisfied, without experiencing a deliverance.  

Think of this, if two very young children around two or three years old start fighting over a toy, what is going on, they haven’t had enough time to learn this behavior so it stands to reason this selfishness is coming from the inside and acted upon on the outside.  God’s Word says we were all born in sin, so we have a sin nature from birth so we will automatically sin because sin has a hold on us.  Let’s face it, we are slaves to our sin nature so in our natural state we will be compelled to sin.  So, if we are entangled in sin, we are a slave to it.  We were all born in this way except Jesus Christ Himself.  The only hope we have of being set free is in the precious Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world through His crucifixion, death and resurrection and being covered by His precious blood which was shed for all who would put their trust in Him!!    

It is true people can be very embittered by what they experience and by what they are taught especially when they are young and very impressionable and venerable.  If not delivered from these emotional and harmful attitudes they can be enslaved by them.

Now let me share something the Bible says about your heart and mine!!  Please read Jeremiah 17:9-10, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

How do we get rid of our stony heart?  We can’t without the Lord’s help.  This is our dilemma, in our unregenerate hardened hearts, we cannot serve the Lord or please Him or honor Him or love Him or even get to Him.  Please read John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.”                     

The only way we can even repent is if the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins.  I believe if a person is truly convicted, they have two choices, they will be broken over their sins or they will reject the call of God on their lives and if they continually reject the call of God then their hearts may get so hard they may never repent and confess their sins and find forgiveness and that would be a terrible place to be.  On the other hand if anyone does truly repent and turn from their wicked ways and turn to God forsaking their sins and receive the Lord as their Lord and Savior and are born-again, then the Holy Spirit will come in and their bodies will become the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Please read 1 Corinthians 6:16-20, “Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For ‘the two,’ He says, ‘shall become one flesh.’ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
