Revival

How many of you would like to see a genuine Holy Ghost Revival?  If you do I believe it will take some radical decisions on you part and mine; and part of that would be to come out of amongst the world and be separate, because that is what the Word of God says!  We are not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-17, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

We should have no binding relationships with non-believers, such as in a business or marriage relationship or real close relationship with non-believers to the point that we would allow them to influence our decisions and the choices we make.  Yes, we are in the world but not of the world, and we need to love the unbeliever but we should not chase after what they chase after.  Too many times we can get ourselves into so many worldly activities, and some of these things are disguised as Christian things, but they are just wrapped in a different box, so to speak, but are so close to the world’s way of doing things that you can hardly tell the difference.  What we should be doing is separating ourselves and trusting God to guide us in the paths that we should go.

Read what the Bible says about this in Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

We are also told not to conform to this world read Romans 12:1-2, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

I have to confess that I have conformed to the world for many years and even committed idolatry and I can’t thank the Lord enough for His correction and His patience and mercy on my life.  Since then I have repented and confessed these sins and walked away from them.  Sometimes believers can get caught up in things that are sins but be so deceived that they are not even aware that they exist for a while.  We need to examine ourselves and see if there be any wicked way in us and when we recognize something sinful in our lives we need to repent and ask the Lord to forgive us.  Then we also need to ask the Lord to search our hearts to see if there is any wicked way in us and when He reveals it, or them, to us we need to repent and confess them also and turn from them.  It is important to humble ourselves before the Lord because He is seeking the humble and contrite heart, that He will not despise.  The Lord resists the proud but He draws to the humble so let’s humble ourselves before the Lord.

Read what it says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

If we want to see a Holy Ghost revival we must pray and seek the Lord, asking Him to pour out His Spirit on the churches and on all flesh.

Read what the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”   

I know that the Lord was talking to the Jewish people at this time but I also think that it pertains to us today.  This is so important, that we as believers turn from the wicked ways that are within us and seek God’s face and His mercy and grace through godly sorrow that brings forth repentance for ourselves and for the nations of the world.  Just look around, listen to the news, our nation looks a lot like Sodom and Gomorrah and God destroyed them because of their wickedness, and what about the other nations of the world today?  Without a Holy Ghost revival all we will have left is God’s judgement and believe me that is not what any of us want!!  What we want, and what we need, is God’s mercy and grace.  So, if you need to, start repenting and confessing to the Lord your sins and start praying, and even fasting won’t hurt, some things only come through prayer and fasting.  I have given you something to think about I hope you will.  May the good Lord speak to your heart and may you be obedient to whatever He tells you!!  May the good Lord bless you and yours and may you have a super day!!  And don’t forget to thank and praise the Lord for He is worthy.  Praise the Lord!!
