The Battle Rages

We believers are in a battle every day against the enemy of our souls and ourselves and the ever, ensuing temptations of the flesh.  We are our own worst enemy.  Sometimes it seems that what is being taught is giving believers a license to sin.  Every day we live with temptations and we have choices to make.  There are many times we sin purposely, and other times we sin, and we don’t even realize it.

Let’s talk about pride which seems to be one of the main culprits, now think of this, having to have the last word in an argument will blow things way out of proportion and sin is bound to ensue.  Please read Proverbs 16:17-19, “The highway of the upright avoids evil. He who guards his way protects his life. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit with the afflicted than to share the spoil with the proud.”   Pride is destructive and happens many times in relationships and marriages and, also in just plain arguments.  Pride is evident when we want our own way and to do our own thing and when we feel that our way is the only way all the time.

God’s Word says in Proverbs 3:5-8, “Trust in Adonai with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Adonai and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”   We as believers need to have the Lord in our marriages and every other aspect of our lives and lean on His understanding and not on our own.

Think of this, please read Psalm 127:1, “Unless Adonai builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless Adonai watches over the city, the watchman stands guard in vain.”  I think that this pertains to marriages, relationships, ministries, all church activities and other things that have to do with believers, so please don’t let pride get the best of you, drive it away as soon as possible.  The enemy loves to use the sin of pride and arrogance to destroy so many people’s lives.

Be very careful about the choices you make and remember the sins of the flesh.  Please read 1 John 2:15-17, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the boasting of life—is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away along with its desire, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.”

Enough said, may the good Lord bless you and yours with His perfect peace, love and joy and health and happiness!!  Have a super day!!
