Please
read Proverbs 16:16-20, “How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose
understanding rather than silver. The highway of the upright avoids evil. He
who guards his way protects his life. Pride goes before destruction and a
haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit with the afflicted
than to share the spoil with the proud. One prudent in a matter will find good.
Blessed is the one who trusts in Adonai.”
Believers
or nonbelievers that are too confident or arrogant will fall and that fall may
be very devastating!! If believers or unbelievers
respond to the fall properly by truly repenting, having a change of heart and
mind, they will all find help in their time of need. The Lord seeks the humble and contrite heart,
those He will not despise; so humble yourselves before the Lord and He will
lift you up in His time, praise His holy name. Please don’t let pride keep you from receiving
God’s best in your lives!!
Think
about what God’s word says, do unto others as you would want them to do unto
you. Forgiving others is imperative if
we want to be forgiven. Some offenses
will be very, very hard to forgive, some will seem almost impossible and
without the good Lord’s help may be impossible. Personally, I cannot imagine what
some have experienced in their lives. Everyone has a story, and many are so tragic
that many of us might cringe to hear about them, so I don’t take this lightly. But God’s word says that nothing is impossible
with him. If you are a nonbeliever, I would
say that some things would be an impossibility to forgive, but for a true
believer that truly loves his neighbor with the Lord’s help it can and will be
done, it may take some time to forgive but it will always be a possibility!!
I will
put some verses down here that relate to forgiveness, please read:
Matthew 5:43-45,
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate
your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to
rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the
unrighteous.”
Ephesians
4:31-32, “Get rid of all bitterness and rage and anger and quarreling and
slander, along with all malice. Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate,
forgiving each other just as God in Messiah also forgave you.”
Mark 11:25,
“Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive
him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your transgressions.”
Matthew
18:21-22, “Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Master, how often shall I
forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Yeshua said to
him, ‘No, not up to seven times, I tell you, but seventy times seven!’”
Colossians
3:12-14, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves in tender compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience—
bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance
against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others.
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfect harmony.”
Enough said,
I pray that this has been a help, a blessing and an
encouragement
to all who read it. May all of you have
a super day and a blessed day also!!
