The true church will never be destroyed but will flourish forever. Jesus said to Peter in Matthew 16:18, “And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”
Satan has tried to destroy the church for many years but he cannot and he will not, ever. For him to destroy the church he would have to defeat Jesus and that can never happen. Jesus is the head of the church and He is the chief cornerstone and because of Him the church lives and moves and has its being.
On the confession of the faith of every true believer the church thrives and grows because the true church is made of born-again people that have been washed and their sins cleansed by the blood of their Savior, Jesus Christ, the righteous and Holy One. Satan tried to destroy Jesus by inciting the crowds against Him encouraging them to holler, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him” at the time of His crucifixion. Think about this, it was only a short time before this when Jesus was about to enter Jerusalem on a donkey that some of the people spread their cloaks and branches on the ground and were hollering, “Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Satan will never stop trying to destroy Jesus and His church but the Bible says in Isaiah 59:19, “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” (KJV) It also says this in Isaiah 54:16-17, “I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (NLT)
And don’t forget what it says in 1st John 4:4, “You dear children are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world,” praise the Lord! Satan is the influence behind everyone that is against everything that is holy and righteous, he hates every believer and every non-believer alike; he is the father of all lies. The Word says, for good reason, in Ephesians 6:10-12, “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (NLT)
So remember God has a remnant of people that are true believers that make up the church and these are the ones that will be the overcomers, not the imposters that are just full of religion that think they are a part of the church. The true believers’ witness and testimonies have been poured out in the entire world for generations and will continue until the Lord returns and takes all His people home to be with Him, what a glorious day that will be!
So if you are a part of the church, just keep on hanging on, never give in and never give up. Jesus is coming back and from what I see taking place it is going to be soon, praise the Lord! But in the meantime the true church is thriving and is very much alive and our enemy is very angry.
Let me share some things that the Word has to say about this, check this out in Revelations 12:7-12, “And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.’” (NIV)
Satan may be angry but the Lord is on our side and through Him we will overcome, praise the Lord! I hope this has been an encouragement to you whoever you are. Have a super day and may God bless you richly.
